2. About University Marketplace

University Marketplace is an online platform that allows students and other eligible users to discover, advertise, and communicate about products and services.

Important: University Marketplace primarily provides the marketplace and communication platform. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, we are not the seller, buyer, owner, manufacturer, or supplier of products listed by users.

Product purchases and arrangements may occur directly between buyers and sellers.

3. Seller Accounts

Users who wish to create listings may be required to create an account and provide accurate information.

Sellers are responsible for:

Providing truthful account information.
Keeping login credentials secure.
Maintaining accurate listing information.
Ensuring that products they advertise are legitimate and available.
Responding appropriately to buyer enquiries.

You must not impersonate another person or create an account using false information.

4. Product Listings

Sellers are responsible for everything they include in their listings, including product descriptions, images, prices, availability, and contact information.

Listings must accurately represent the products being offered.

We reserve the right to remove listings that violate these Terms, applicable laws, or our community standards.

5. Buyers

Buyers are responsible for evaluating products, sellers, prices, and transaction arrangements before completing a purchase.

We encourage users to exercise reasonable caution when meeting sellers or making payments.

Verify the product before paying whenever possible.
Avoid sending money to unknown individuals without verifying the transaction.
Meet in safe and appropriate locations.
Report suspicious listings or behaviour to us.

6. Transactions Between Users

University Marketplace does not automatically become a party to transactions between buyers and sellers.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, we do not process or guarantee payments, deliveries, refunds, warranties, returns, or exchanges between users.

Any agreement entered into between a buyer and seller is primarily between those parties.

Transaction Safety Users should independently verify the identity, product, payment details, and transaction terms of the other party before completing a transaction.

7. Prohibited Activities

You may not use University Marketplace to:

Sell illegal goods or services.
Post fraudulent or misleading listings.
Scam, deceive, or defraud other users.
Upload content that infringes another person's intellectual property rights.
Harass, threaten, abuse, or discriminate against other users.
Upload malicious software or harmful code.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform.
Use the platform for activities that violate applicable laws.

8. User Content

Users may upload content such as product images, descriptions, profile information, and other listing information ("User Content").

You remain responsible for the content you submit. You represent that you have the necessary rights to upload and use that content.

By submitting content to University Marketplace, you grant us permission to host, display, reproduce, and process that content as reasonably necessary to operate and promote the platform.

9. Intellectual Property

University Marketplace's software, branding, design, logos, graphics, and original platform content are owned by or licensed to us and may not be copied, modified, distributed, or reproduced without appropriate permission.

10. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

University Marketplace is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the platform will always be available, error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses arising from transactions, communications, products, services, conduct, or disputes between users.

Users are responsible for exercising reasonable judgement when interacting with other users.

11. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to an account or listing where we reasonably believe that a user has violated these Terms, misused the platform, or engaged in harmful or unlawful behaviour.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time as the platform develops.

When changes are made, the updated version will be published on this page together with an updated revision date.
